I am a visual artist currently based in Pittsburgh.

After growing up in rural Arkansas, I moved to Pittsburgh to get a graduate degree from Carnegie Mellon University….and decided to stay. I live on the Northside and established Mere Mud, a ceramics studio in McKees Rocks, in 2024.

I think art is really the way you look at things, not what you make. Nevertheless, I feel a beguiling compulsion to make a lot of things. Although I consider ceramics my primary medium, I also do painting, photography, sculpture, and construction. When I’m not making art, I enjoy biking, all three Pittsburgh rivers, and working at a software research institute.
